Current contest running: Karaoke Contest

Please read these notices before joining in!

A “karaoke” contest features… well, you guys karaoke-ing. It doesn’t matter whether you can sing or not… the main objective is for you to choose a song that bet fits with your voice. For example, notes you can hit best, and what kind of song fits in your range.

-You do not have to karaoke the whole song, but at least up to the first chorus.

-The song must be Asian. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc. No English please! That’s the fun part of this.

-It can be absolutely any Asian song you want, as long as it has a karaoke or instrumental track that you can sing along with. Absolutely NO accapella please, and NO singing over the oiginal artist!

-If your having trouble finding a karaoke track, ask me and I’ll help you look for one. The sad thing about this is that some songs do not have karaoke tracks, so you may not be able to do the song you want because of this. If worst come to worse, I can create a crappy “handmade” karaoke using a program I have, if you can’t find another song.

-Give me your songs in either mp3 or wav.

-Send me your songs at myuudude[at]hotmail[dot]com or upload them a server like sendspace/megaupload/etc and upload it on this page.

Tips for recording…

-All you need to record is a fairly good working microphone and a computer. Under Applications, go to Sound Recorder, and start recording. <3

-Play your karaoke in the background of when you sing. Have your mouth closer to the microphone then the background song. I wouldn’t want a karaoke track where I can hardly hear you. ;_;

-If you want to be REALLY fancy, (though if you have no idea what I’m about to say, don’t try it) you can download programs like Goldwave or Acoustica and do a seperate vocal file to mix in with your karaoke track. Whether you do this or not though, will not effect whether you win or not. It’s all about the singing!
